The winter sessions of Parliament commenced today with a full house in New Delhi. Before they began the day’s proceedings, the members of Parliament have paid homage to leaders who lost their lives this year. They paid tributes to Superstar Krishna, the former Loksabha member.
The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 12 noon after paying tributes to the deceased leaders.
Tributes were paid to Mulayam Singh Yadav, Jhadu Sunder Lal, Debi Ghosal, Rupchand Pai, Gobinda Chandra Naskar, Than Singh Jatav, Manikrao H. Gavit, Jayanti Patnaik and Ghattamaneni Krishna.
Superstar Krishna joined the Congress party under the leadership of Rajiv Gandhi. He contested from Eluru in 1989 for the parliament and won the election. Later, he lost the election in 1991. The legendary actor passed away last month after suffering a massive cardiac arrest.
