Employee Unions Buying Time For Jagan?

It looks like the state government employees in Andhra Pradesh are all out to go against the incumbent government. With the delay in salaries and pensions, various government employees have started openly criticising the government. Recently, APTF (Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation) leaders in Kurnool took to peaceful protest over the delay in the salaries. Now, the latest we hear is that the employees union JACs are prepping up for a massive protest against the government in April.

APGEA announced that it will launch its protest in April over the 12th PRC implementation demanding that it should be credited in June 2023 directly. APGEA president Suryanarayana called for a long term protest against the Jagan government.

The JACs leaders are declaring war against the Jagan administration and asked the government to mend its way and credit salaries on time. They pointed out that several employees are receiving their salaries at the end of the month due to delays.

Earlier, there were several speculations that the leaders of various employee unions in Andhra Pradesh were on the side of ruling YSRCP. There were various reports of the union leaders openly praising CM Jagan and allegedly compromised with the government by ditching employees’ demands. Now, it looks like employee unions are back on track and targeting the government over the salary delay and other rightful demands.

Meanwhile, some employees are suspecting the move of the JAC leaders who announced to start protests from April 2023, that is after another 4 months. Some employees are smelling conspiracy behind this announcement. They are saying that Union leaders are buying time for Jagan. We have to wait and see where this whole issue ends up. For now, employees are waging war against the Jagan government.
