All Doors Closed For Kavitha?

Things are tightening around BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha in the Delhi liquor scam and it appears that more trouble is around the corner for her. Kavitha who was questioned by the CBI as a witness in this case, has been included in the charge-sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate.

Earlier, Kavitha’s name was mentioned in Amit Arora’s remand report, now her name has appeared in the 181-page charge-sheet filed by the ED against the main accused Sameer Mahendru. Kavitha’s name was mentioned nearly 28 times in the charge-sheet.

In the latest charge-sheet, ED has tried to confirm that the allegations against Kavitha are true. The ED informed that court that Kavitha has met Delhi Aam Aadmi Party leaders several times and it has gathered all the witnesses regarding the same. Along with Kavitha, ED has collected complete evidence against Magunta Raghav and Sarath Chandra Reddy.

The main accused Sameer Mahendru got L1 wholesale license in the name of Indo Spirits and South Group got retail license in all 7 zones. The South Group has paid Rs 100 crore to Vijay Nayar and the syndicate has secured 9 out of 32 retail zones after receiving 100 crores in kick bags.

The ED has also included bank statements in the charge-sheet and it was concluded that collateral evidence had been collected. ED has info on the money transactions from Magunta Raghav’s bank account and now the people at South Group are in a disoriented situation.

After questioning Kavitha, the CBI immediately served another notice. But the CBI did not mention any date and is likely to call for a second round of interrogation. This time she may be asked to come to the CBI office in Delhi. Since her name is in the ED charge sheet, the probe agency will also question her.

If the IT department also gets involved in the Delhi liquor scam, Kavitha will witness a non-stop attack of probe agencies. Meanwhile, it is reported that the ED is of the opinion that Kavitha should be questioned to fix the AAP leaders in the liquor scam.
For the Modi government along with Aam Aadmi Party, the new BRS is also a primary target and there will be more twists and turns in the coming days.
