Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi passed away at 100. She was admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad. She died today morning.
Modi shared the news of her demise with a tweet this morning. ‘A glorious century rests at the feet of God… In Maa, I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values’, wrote Modi in his tweet.
He further wrote, ‘When I met her on her 100th birthday, she said one thing, which is always remembered that work with intelligence, live life with purity, that is, work with intelligence and live life with purity’, recalling the time when he met her recently.
Heeraben was admitted to UN Mehta hospital in Ahmedabad following age related health issues.
Modi left for Ahmedabad after mother Heeraben’s demise. He may join pre-planned West Bengal events virtually.
