Ever since Telangana TDP’s event turned success in Khammam, there are widespread rumours on the political alliances in Telangana. There are many reports that BJP and TDP will reunite but none of the source is authentic.
Amidst this, a real discussion on this happened in Telangana BJP’s internal meeting. BJP star campaigner and ex-MP Vijayashanti asked the party leadership to give a clarity on alliance with TDP because of the reports circulating in the media circles. She added that the party cadre is also in a confusion on this.
T-BJP chief Bandi Sanjay replied to Vijayashanti that in Telangana, the BJP will not ally with Telugu Desam. In a way Bandi’s answer was clear enough for all the T-BJP leaders.
Bandi’s reply can be reckoned as BJP national leadership’s view as well because the other day T-BJP initiated ‘Mission 90’ for the 2023 Assembly elections. T-BJP wants to form government on its own without any individual or party’s support and it is working and strategising accordingly.
BJP is sceptical to work with TDP again but Telugu Desam is looking with a new confidence in the recent past, all thanks to some internal developments within the party. Elections are close 11 months away and a lot can happen in this gap.
