Kapu Reservations: Kanna Gives Some Credits To Babu

In the recent past AP BJP leader Kanna Lakshmi Narayana is voicing a lot for Kapu reservation and on this issue, he added that ex-CM Chandrababu Naidu brought the reservation row to final stages.

“It was late Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy who first initiated reservation for the Kapus. Later ex-CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy tried his best but it was Chandrababu Naidu who really made a sincere effort. He initiated a commission and then the report was approved by the AP Cabinet and the Bill was passed in the AP Assembly. Overall the Kapu Reservation row was brought to the stage that it just needs implementation,” said Kanna.

The BJP leader opined that Kapus should be included in the OBC community. “The government of India gave the authority to states to include communities in OBC based on demands from communities in respective states because every state has its own share of problems. Kapus in AP should be included in OBC,” added Kanna.

Taking a dig at his own party leader and Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao, Kanna added that GVL had done nothing for the Kapus and I wonder why he is getting felicitated.

Kanna’s comments will do more damage for the AP BJP but is he suggesting that he is moving away from the party? Reports were that Kanna is looking at Jana Sena but he is taking his own sweet time to quit BJP.
