These Elections Acid Test For TDP!

Published by

The TDP leaders in Visakhapatnam district are facing a big challenge. The party has taken the ongoing elections for the Graduates MLC seats as a prestigious issue and is considering the MLC polls as a semi-final for the upcoming Assembly elections next year. There is every need for the party to show the people that the TDP has good strength and at the same time, try to subdue the dominance of the YCP.

In the north Andhra region, the TDP fielded Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao as its candidate for the MLC polls. His nomination has been okayed and the party is leaving no stone unturned to ensure his victory. The party cadre in Vizag South constituency in particular, is determined to see to it that the TDP candidate wins the MLC seat.

Gandi Babji, MP candidate and Balakrishna’s son-in-law M. Sri Bharat are also considering it as a serious task. Moreover, TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu had also directed the party leaders to take up the campaigning for the MLC candidates in a big manner so as to ensure their party’s victory.

Accordingly, the TDP is focusing on informing the public that the YCP government had been a failure in all sectors. As part of it, the party has decided to highlight the fact that thousands of skilled graduates are reeling under unemployment.

Political observers said that the YCP would also consider the MLC polls prestigiously just as the TDP is doing it. As the YCP is in the ruling, the party cadre would use all means to ensure that their candidates emerge victorious in the MLC polls, they added.

In such a case, victory in the MLC polls would be an uphill task for the TDP.
