Somu blames Naidu for BJP’s condition in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh BJP chief Somu Veerraju has written a letter complaining against TDP boss and former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu to his party leadership. Reportedly, the letter mentioned about the political developments in the last one week in the state and also said that the BJP was not growing in the state due to Naidu himself. Somu squarely blamed Naidu for the party’s under performance too.

Somu also wrote that he was putting in all his efforts to strengthen the BJP in Andhra Pradesh. He reminded that he had already submitted all the related reports to the party leadership in Delhi in the past. At the same time, he said that Naidu was not allowing the BJP to grow and pulling in all their leaders into his party. If this is the way things will continue, BJP’s existence will be at a threat, Somu reported to his seniors.

It is learnt that Somu mentioned the names of all those leaders who had already switched their loyalty to the TDP and also of those who are getting ready to follow suit in the letter. According to a political leader from Tirupati, the letter also mentioned that BJP was not facing any problem from the ruling party. It is only Naidu and some of his aides who are causing a lot of trouble to the BJP, Somu reportedly informed his seniors in the party, through the letter.

“Our leader has written a letter to the BJP central leadership. We do not know what would happen but the party’s condition in the state is not hopeful. Nobody can be blamed. In the public and on the outside, the leaders are being friendly but betraying us at the end,” the Tirupati leader said off-the-record.

These developments indicate that the BJP is likely to take some key measures to save the party, said political observers. It has to be seen how the BJP would face the existential threat and counter the exodus from the party.
