Telangana minister KTR hinted at banning the V6 News channel at a recent press conference. It turned official last night with BRS banning V6 News Channel and Velugu newspaper.
V6 and Velugu media houses in Telangana have been ridiculed by KTR, and he calls them the BJP mouthpieces.
According to the imposed ban, V6 and Velugu media will not be entertained by BRS leaders. BRS leaders will not be responding to V6 News questions and will not be joining the debates in the channel’s studios. V6 is not allowed to enter the party office and is also banned from attending official meetings.
In the press release, BRS mentions that V6 and Velugu daily has been barricading the Telangana state’s growth and has been supporting the BJP. ‘The V6 and Velugu media houses that need to be impartial in a democracy, have been peddling fabricated news in favor of the BJP and have been spitting venom on BRS with lies.’
It also emphasizes the need for the people of Telangana to understand the true colors of V6 media which have lost its credibility.
TRS earlier banned ABN and TV9 for alleged mud-slinging acts against the party in Telangana.
