Now, YCP Leaders Blasts Rajinikanth

Superstar Rajinikanth was the special attraction at the centenary celebrations of Telugu icon Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao or NTR. On Friday night’s event, Rajini went all praise of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Hindupuram MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna.

However, Rajini’s compliments did not go down well with the YCP government and the ruling party ministers did not hesitate to counter Superstar Rajini. The likes Ambati Rambabu, Roja and Kodali Nani lashed at Rajinikanth even though the celebrated actor did not comment anything political.

Roja did not agree with Rajini’s statements on Hyderabad development. “TDP lost the government in 2004 and in 2014, AP was divided. We are now in 2023 and this means for 20 years, TDP had no control on Hyderabad and the development of Hyderabad took place in these 20 years. Neither TDP nor Chandrababu has any involvement or hand in Hyderabad’s progress in the last two decades,” said Roja.

The tourism minister found fault with Rajini complementing Chandrababu. “NTR’s soul will be anguished by Rajini’s comments on Chandrababu. Did Rajini forget what happened at Viceroy hotel and how Chandrababu backstabbed NTR?” questioned Roja.

Ex- minister Kodali Nani lashed out at Rajinikanth. “Rajini might have read the script written by some TDP leaders. Rajini was brought to Vijayawada only to blackmail Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan because he broke ties with BJP and is ready to forge alliance with TDP. It’s all Chandrababu’s mind games to play with Pawan and restrict his party’s dominance if they join hands. Rajini is someone who rests four days if he shoots for three days and just for the sake of felicitation, he should not have commented so. He downed his reputation with such comments and he lost his respect,” said Kodali.

It is totally unnecessary for YCP ministers to criticize Rajini. He was invited for the event and being an actor who worked with NTR and shares some good association with Chandrababu, it was natural of him to say a few good words. Why are YCP ministers so rattled with Rajini who seriously cannot influence Andhra voters?
