K’taka Polls: Litmus Test for Brand MODI

The poll campaign for Karnataka Assembly elections concluded and the state will go for voting on May 10th. These elections are very crucial for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it’s a matter of pride and a big test for the brand name ‘MODI.’

Last year, BJP showed their dominance in Gujarat and like always Modi walked away with the credit. Karnataka is almost similar to that of Gujarat with 42 Assembly additional seats. Karnataka BJP leaders believe that PM Modi’s face value will come to their rescue in the elections and so the elections have turned crucial for Modi.

The BJP believes so because winning in Karnataka will show a gateway for Telangana and later expand all over south. PM Modi mostly campaigned in Lok Sabha segments because the party that wins the Assembly elections, will walk the talk in the Lok Sabha polls too. BJP wants to score a hat-trick in 2024 and Modi smartly campaigned in Lok Sabha segments.

With all eyes on Karnataka, PM Modi took these elections prestigiously and dedicated a lot of time for campaigning holding multiple road shows and public gatherings. Political analysts say that this election will be the deciding factor for brand Modi and surely it would have consequences all over the country.
