Fence-sitters Worried About Buzz On Early Polls

The speculation over early polls is creating a confusion among many fence-sitters in the YCP. Many of them who have plans to switch sides either to the TDP or the Jana Sena, ahead of the polls, are in a dilemma over swinging into action and switching loyalties as they are not able to understand the public pulse. They are not able to assess if the YCP would win or the TDP would clinch power.

If the general elections are to be held as per schedule, then the polls are 12 months away from now. In such a case, many of the leaders had planned to take a decision on shifting their loyalties after 2-3 months but now, they are in a fix following the buzz over early polls.

According to the YCP’s strategy, the early polls are aimed at quashing the impact of TDP-JS alliance which is getting delayed due to some unknown reasons. In turn, it would also act as a check on those planning to switch sides either to the TDP or the JS, only if both the parties come to an understanding on the political alliance.

The delay in the declaration of political alliance between the TDP and JS has made many YCP leaders to give second thought to their plans.
