Ex-MLA Kothakota Dayakar Reddy passes away

Former legislator Kothakota Dayakar Reddy has passed away following prolonged illness. According to latest media reports, Dayakar Reddy was admitted in a private multi-specialty hospital in Hyderabad and was getting treated for the same.

This morning Dayakar Reddy’s health deteriorated and the doctors who were treating him declared him dead. Dayakar Reddy was a three time MLA from Telugu Desam party. Twice he won from Amarachinta Assembly constituency and once from Maktal constituency. He hails from Mahbubnagar district.

Dayakar Reddy was one of the prominent leaders in TDP during Naidu’s regime and he went on to become the national principal secretary of the party. He rose to ranks from grassroot level and accordingly the party acknowledged his services.

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has condoled the death of Dayakar Reddy and is likely to pay a visit to the mortal remains. Telangana CM KCR conveyed his deep sympathies to the family members of Dayakar Reddy.
