Class 10 Student Burnt Alive In AP

A class 10 student was burnt alive in Andhra Pradesh. 15 years-old Uppala Amarnath was burnt alive allegedly by a man ‘Venky’ in Uppalavaripalem of Cherukupalli Mandal Bapatla of AP.

Amarnath goes to Rajavolu for tuition everyday morning. On Friday at around 5:30 am, Amarnath was found burnt. The man allegedly poured petrol on Amarnath and put him on fire.

Locals found his screams and extinguished the fire befire rushing him to Guntur government general hospital.

Amarnath named three people including ‘Venky’ while he was being taken to the hospital. Amarnath died while being treated.

Venkatewara Reddy aka Venky a 21 year-old-man had been harassing Amarnath’s sister and when Amarnath confronted him, Venky allegedly burnt him alive. Venky is a native of Rajavolu working as a daily wage labourer. Police took Venky into their custody and are interrogating him.

A murder case has been filed and another case under POCSO Act also has been filed, since the murdered student’s sister is a minor.
