Pawan Kalyan is powerstar for film lovers, but then, he incarnated the avatar of Janasenani to make his presence felt in Andhra politics. After 2014 and 2019, he is sounding pretty confident this time and even sought the post of Chief Minister from his voters aka fans, during his ongoing Varahi Yaatra in the state of Andhra Pradesh. But here’s the catch.
As Pawan Kalyan is delivering his speeches at the Varahi Yaatra Sabha in Kakinada other day, intellectuals are actually spellbound by the way he is addressing a few issues. Especially his warning to Kakinada MLA Dwarmpudi Chandrasekhar Reddy in cinematic style has caught the attention of political detractors as well as analysts.
However, what disrupted the proceedings is none other than the behaviour of his fans. Despite his strong speeches that were laced with facts and punch lines, fans are just making huge noise as if this is an audio function. In case they are not seeing Pawan as a movie star but as a leader, they would have surely kept their noise levels to zero. And that brings us to an interesting debate now.
Pawan Kalyan has the strongest fanbase for sure in Andhra Pradesh but how much of it is getting converted into votes? Only if these fans see him as a leader rather than a movie star, that fanism will convert into a vote bank and works out miracles for him.
Else, it is going to be the same result- there will be huge crowds at political events but the turnout of them into votes will be pretty low. So, Pawan Kalyan fans, are you going to prove yourself this time or you will be still the same unbelievable bunch of euphoric individuals?
