Modi-Babu To Meet Next Month?

Andhra Pradesh would witness some serious political developments in the next month. The opposition parties are trying to clamp down the ruling YCP by unleashing attack from all sides. While the major opposition TDP had already released the party’s mini-manifesto and is planning to launch a bus yatra, apart from the Yuva Galam padayatra taken up by the TDP scion, the Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has already started off his Vaarahi Yatra.

In addition to the above two parties, the BJP is also attacking YCP president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy highlighting his failures. While the TDP and JSP are making many poll promises during their tours, the BJP is yet to start off with its promises. According to political analysts, the BJP, JSP and TDP are likely to gotogether ahead of the polls. If they are planning to contest the elections together, then there should be a combined manifesto.

The BJP is of the opinion that it should finalise the tie-up as early as possible as the Assembly elections are just 10 months away in Andhra Pradesh. Else, the BJP might have to lose. There is information that the BJP will take a final decision about the alliances next month. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to meet TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu next month after which there would be more clarity regarding the alliances.

After Shah-Naidu meet, there would be more clarity on the alliance of the three parties. After that, the three parties are likely to release a joint manifesto.

The developments indicate that the opposition parties are determined to defeat the YCP but will they arrive at an understanding with regard to seat sharing, division of constituencies and other issues is the moot question. Just as Jagan said, it appears that a Kurukshetra war is in the offing during the next polls.
