During the evening, Modi presented President Joe Biden with a meticulously crafted sandalwood box, containing a silver idol of Lord Ganesha, a diya (traditional Indian lamp), and ‘Das Danam’ (a symbolic offering). Additionally, he gifted First Lady Jill Biden a remarkable 7.5-carat eco-friendly green diamond, thoughtfully encased in a box made of paper pulp.
In return, Joe Biden bestowed upon Modi a handcrafted antique American book galley, showcasing the rich literary heritage of the United States. Furthermore, they presented Modi with an American camera, a hardcover book displaying captivating wildlife photography of America, and a personally signed first-edition copy of ‘Collected Poems of Robert Frost.’
