Last night, US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden warmly welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House. Joining them for a private dinner were Indian and American National Security Advisors, Ajit Doval and Jake Sullivan, respectively.
A captivating image from the event has now gone viral on the internet, showcasing the joyful ambience of the dinner party. Both Modi and Biden can be seen with wide smiles adorning their faces, clearly enjoying each other’s company.
During the evening, Modi presented President Joe Biden with a meticulously crafted sandalwood box, containing a silver idol of Lord Ganesha, a diya (traditional Indian lamp), and ‘Das Danam’ (a symbolic offering). Additionally, he gifted First Lady Jill Biden a remarkable 7.5-carat eco-friendly green diamond, thoughtfully encased in a box made of paper pulp.
In return, Joe Biden bestowed upon Modi a handcrafted antique American book galley, showcasing the rich literary heritage of the United States. Furthermore, they presented Modi with an American camera, a hardcover book displaying captivating wildlife photography of America, and a personally signed first-edition copy of ‘Collected Poems of Robert Frost.’
