The TDP leaders feel Jagananna Suraksha scheme is something more than meets the eye.
As part of the scheme, people who are eligible for various schemes but are not enjoying their benefits will be identified and it would be ensured that they get the benefits immediately. Similarly, awareness would be created on various schemes among the people.
According to sources, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had asked the officials to take the necessary steps for the implementation of the scheme. The volunteers and Gruha Saradhis were asked to identify the eligible beneficiaries, explain them about various schemes and then ensure that they receive the benefits.
However, the TDP leaders say the scheme is not aiming at just identification of the beneficiaries. It is aimed at identifying the YCP vote bank, ahead of the elections. They suspect that the YCP government is doing this big exercise to identify the pro-TDP voters and the anti-YCP electorate.
The YCP could be planning to identify the anti-YCP voters and trying to influence them, and later turn them favourable to the party, the TDP leaders added.
