In what could be a first, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pointed out the name of BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha Rao’s name to target Telangana CM KCR. PM Modi was in Bhopal earlier in the day and participated in ‘Mera Booth Sabse Majbooth.’ In his speech Modi dragged Kavitha’s name and that called for a debate.
“If you want to benefit the daughter of K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter, vote for the BRS. But if you want to protect and think about your daughter at home and your children, vote for the BJP which strives for all-round development of the society,” said PM Modi.
This is for the first time PM Modi reacted to KCR’s national political ambitions and it looked like the BJP sensed the presence of the BRS party in other states. Apparently Modi’s comments invited debate and political analysts say that it’s a message from Modi.
The BRS leaders have responded to Modi’s remarks and added that the BJP is scared of KCR and it was evident with Modi’s words. Before Modi’s speech surfaced in the media, Telangana CM KCR participated in a public gathering in Pandharpur and lashed out at both BJP and Congress.
“Congress party says BRS is BJP’s B team and BJP accuses BRS as Congress party’s A team. But we are a team of farmers, workers. It’s been 75 years of independence but the country hasn’t progressed as anticipated and both the parties should be blamed,” said KCR.
Nonetheless, PM Modi talking about BRS party and KCR in a non-Telugu speaking state is a big thing.
