Purandeswari Appointed As AP BJP Chief

NTR’s daughter and former union minister Daggubati Purandeswari has been appointed as the AP BJP new president. The move come as quite shocking and unexpected. This is after the BJP central leadership removed Somu Veerraju as its president citing the end of the term. BJP’s top leadership is keen on making inroads into the Telugu states. As part of this, the party’s strategy is to hand over the reigns of the party to the efficient and potential person. This is to prepare the party for 2024 general elections. By making Purandeswari as its president, BJP may also irk TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.

In Telangana, BJP has handed over the baton to Union Minister Kishan Reddy. Existing president and MO Bandi Sanjay’s term has come to an end and he would be given any responsibility at the centre.
