Ponguleti Meets AP CM Jagan; What’s up?

Ex-MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy who recently joined the Congress party in the presence of Rahul Gandhi, met AP CM YS Jagan Reddy at Tadepalli camp office. This meeting sparked an interesting outcome given the contest the leaders represented.

According to Telugu media, Ponguleti and CM Jagan discussed YS Sharmila. There have been reports in the media that Sharmila might join the Congress party and Ponguleti informed the same to CM Jagan. Apparently it was Ponguleti who played a big role in convincing Sharmila to join Congress and merge her YSRTP besides Karnataka’s DK Shivakumar.

What was CM Jagan’s reaction to Ponguleti’s information? This is something to be known. Congress insiders say that Sharmila will join Congress on July 8th on the occasion of YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s birth anniversary but there is no official word about it because Sharmila, YSRTP and Congress sources are maintaining a tight lip about it.

Sharmila joining Congress would definitely benefit the party and it will have certain implications in Andhra Pradesh too. But it is too early to predict the outcome.
