No time for Moranchapalli, KCR heads Maharashtra

Re-badging TRS as BRS, Telangana CM KCR has been focusing more on national politics. BRS is making progress in the neighbouring state, Maharashtra and KCR has visited the state extensively. On Tuesday KCR will yet again visit Maharashtra and a series of events are scheduled.

First, KCR will visit Wategaon to take part in the birth anniversary celebrations of Dalit leader Anna Bhaurao Sathe. KCR will unveil the statue of Sathe and meet the family members of Sathe. Maharashtra leader Raghunath Dada Patil will host lunch for KCR and after this, KCR will visit the famous Mahalakshmi temple in Kolhapur.

After offering special prayers to Devi Ambabai, KCR will fly back to Hyderabad. Mang Samaj leader has appealed to take part in Telangana CM’s tour of Maharashtra and make it a successful one.

But this tour of Maharashtra is being criticized by the opposition. Last week Telangana had witnessed unprecedented rains. Moranchapalli village of Bhupalapally district submerged in incessant rains and relief operations are going on at slow pace.

KCR should have visited the flood affected village and assure the public of supporting them in these tiring times. But KCR opted for a political tour and it shows his priorities, said a Congress leader. Except for the local MLA, none of the BRS ministers visited flood affected areas but on Monday’s cabinet meeting, the Telangana government has announced Rs 500 crore for relief work for Warangal and Mulugu districts.
