Naidu’s Visit: Tension At Punganur

Tension mounted in Punganur ahead of TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Chittoor district as the activists of both the ruling and opposition parties taking out huge rallies and ready to confront each other.

The ruling YCP cadre is trying to obstruct our leader from passing through Punganuru to Chittoor, the TDP leaders alleged.

Meanwhile, the police have imposed restrictions on the movement of both the TDP chief and the party cadre. The police reportedly asked Naidu to travel through the bypass road.

The TDP leaders are protesting against the police orders restricting the movement of their leader.

The TDP chief is visiting all the pending projects in Rayalaseema and expose the negligence of the YCP in completing the irrigation projects. He would visit Handri-Neeva, Molakala cheruvu, Nayini Cheruvu and other projects which would provide irrigation to the farmers in the dry lands of Rayalaseema.

The TDP cadre slammed the YCP leaders for lacking commitment in completing the pending projects and failing to fulfill the drinking water and irrigation needs of the people in Rayalaseema.

It has to be seen how the YCP leaders would react on seeing Naidu at Punganur, as they are charged up to create a ruckus at the place.
