Bhumana Karunakar Reddy Is TTD’s New Chairman!

Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has been nominated as the Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) which manages India’s richest Lord Balaji temple. Karunakar Reddy is going to be in the coveted post for the next two years. He is currently serving as the Tirupati MLA. This is not the first time he is appointed as the TTD Chairman. Earlier, Karunakar Reddy acted as the Chairman for the TTD board in the Congress rule during 2006 to 2008 when YS Rajasekhar Reddy was the Chief Minister of the united Andhra Pradesh.

Karunakar Reddy was born in Edarapalle of Nandalur Mandal of Kadapa district. He studied MA from Tirupati Sri Venkateswara University. He is a staunch loyalist to the YS family. He won as MLA from YSRCP in 2012 by-election and 2019 general election from Tirupati Assembly constituency.

CM Jagan’s uncle and Ongole Ex MP YV Subba Reddy’s term as TTD Chairman came to an end. He served twice as the TTD chairman during 2019 to 2021 and 2021-2023. Bhumana is going to assume charge as the new Chairman post.
