Congress Harassed Jagan: KCR in T’Assembly

Telangana CM KCR addressed Telangana Assembly on the last day of the monsoon sessions. In his speech, KCR again targeted the Congress party for neglecting the Telangana region from the 1950s and took out the names of current AP CM Jagan Reddy.

“If we recall Telangana’s history, Congress has a legacy of betraying this region. Before 2004 elections, Congress was out of power for ten years and it took political advantage of Telangana sentiment by forcing an alliance with us. But after coming to power, Congress took a U-turn and leaders like YS Rajasekhar Reddy and Renuka Chowdary made belittling comments on separate statehood demand. Congress did not spare anyone and harassed even current AP CM Jagan,” said KCR.

“Congress created troubles for Jagan and he was forced to leave the party. After quitting Congress, Jagan was cornered with false cases but he won the Kadapa elections with a huge majority. This is when Congress sensed that it is losing its strength in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions and it had no choice to grant Telangana such that it can retain government in this region but people rejected them,” added KCR.

On CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka’s Paadayatra, KCR made satirical comments that he can go for another phase of Paadayatra and no one will stop him in Telangana.
