Megastar Chiranjeevi’s political comments at 200 days celebrations of Waltair Veerrayya created an unrest in the YCP camp. The ruling party leaders hit back at Chiranjeevi while ex-minister Perni Nani questioned where Chiru was when erstwhile Andhra Pradesh was being bifurcated unethically.
Ex-MP Undavalli Arun Kumar has come in support of Chiranjeevi and backed the latter’s comments. “The film industry is a vulnerable place but Chiranjeevi is not such a person. Whatever he said was absolutely true and it’s because of Chiranjeevi, Hyderabad was declared as joint capital for 10 years. It’s tough being a union minister and voicing an opinion against his own government but Chiranjeevi had done it. Now that he is not in power, he asked people in government to fight for special status and other rightful promises,” said Undavalli.
On Polavaram, Undavalli opined that both YCP and TDP failed to complete the project. “The attitude of both the governments towards Polavaram is the same. AP CM Jagan’s new deadline will miss and it will take longer than anticipated time for Polavaram’s construction,” added Undavalli.
Undavalli believes that it’s because of the irrigation projects, Telangana has surpassed Andhra Pradesh in Paddy cultivation yet in YCP’s rule, the paddy cultivation grew compared to TDP’s rule.
