Shock To KCR, Thummala To Contest In Elections

Thummala Nageswara Rao, a senior politician in Telangana politics, has caused a stir by announcing his intent to contest the upcoming elections. Chief Minister KCR is preparing for the elections, having already revealed candidates for most Assembly seats. However, the absence of Thummala from the list has raised eyebrows, especially given his influence in the Khammam district.

Thummala’s political journey includes wins in the Khammam district from 1985 to 1999 as a TDP leader. He later joined the BRS party and even served as a minister under the TDP government. Despite his past successes, he was left off KCR’s candidate list, leading him to express his intentions to contest the elections.

Amid speculations, Thummala’s future remains uncertain. There are talks of him potentially resigning from the BRS and joining the Congress, with Renuka Chowdhury extending an invitation. The political landscape in Telangana is witnessing intriguing twists as Thummala’s announcement adds to the upcoming election’s excitement.
