She Wants NTR, But She Never Fights For NTR!

Lakshmi Parvathi, the widow of the legendary NTR, has drawn attention for her criticism of the Nandamuri family’s exclusion of her from the launch event of a commemorative Rs 100 coin honoring late Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao on the occasion of his centennial birth anniversary.

Lakshmi Parvathi has taken aim at AP BJP chief and NTR’s daughter, Daggubati Purandeswari, accusing the Nandamuri family of not extending her an invitation. She points out that NTR himself had openly acknowledged their marital status. In response, she has pledged to unveil the motives and actions of Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Nandamuri Balakrishna. However, she has expressed uncertainty regarding whether Jr NTR received an invitation to the event.

Nevertheless, her dual standards and statements have triggered a wave of backlash across social media platforms. Critics point out that Lakshmi Parvathi remained silent when NTR’s name was removed from Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. The university was subsequently renamed Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences by CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Lakshmi Parvathi, who holds the position of AP Telugu and Sanskrit Academy chairperson within the YSRCP, did not voice opposition to the change.

Critics have also called attention to Lakshmi Parvathi’s selective advocacy for NTR’s legacy. While she often cites NTR’s name for political advancement, she has not actively championed his principles or causes. This has led to accusations that she has exploited NTR’s name without truly embodying his spirit. Some argue that her failure to take substantial action or advocate for NTR’s recognition, such as demanding a Bharat Ratna award from the Centre, raises questions about her current objections to not being invited.

The prevailing sentiment among sections of the public is that Lakshmi Parvathi’s recent criticism lacks consistency with her previous actions and demands, prompting a debate over her true intentions and motivations.
