On September 6, Thummala Nageswara Rao is scheduled to embrace the Congress scarf in the presence of Congress President Mallikarjuna Kharge in Delhi. Tummala, who has been engaging in a series of meetings with his supporters, is visibly displeased with the conduct of BRS chief KCR.
Interestingly, a distinct campaign is unfolding in the constituency where Thummala is expected to contend. Amid speculations of him standing from either Khammam or Paleru, an unexpected contender has emerged: Kukatpally in Hyderabad. The Congress aims to position Tummala in Kukatpally to appeal to the Kamma voters, although Tummala himself seems reluctant about this proposition. There’s a strong inclination that he prefers to stand from Paleru in Khammam.
Thummala Nageswara Rao, expressing deep dissatisfaction for not receiving the Paleru ticket under the BRS banner, showcased his influence with a substantial following. He subsequently declared his intention to contest the election on behalf of the people and affirmed his unwavering resolve. However, his potential party shift and definitive choice of constituency remain unclear, as he has yet to provide any clarifications on these matters.
Meanwhile, his loyal supporters affirm Thummala’s intention to contest from Paleru. This strongly suggests that the prospect of him contesting from Kukatpally is not being entertained by him or his cadre.
