Can Lokesh Turn This Sympathy Into Opportunity In Delhi?

Published by

Although Nara Lokesh is the scion of Chandrababu Naidu and TDP’s national general secretary, he actually didn’t get the right opportunity for him to establish the connections with national leaders. Even as a minister and party’s leader, Lokesh didn’t get any chance to grow under Naidu. Now that Naidu is arrested and sent to judicial remand in an alleged skill development scam, Lokesh is visiting Delhi where he is set to meet several national leaders.

Many political analysts sense this as the right opportunity for Lokesh. There is a sympathy among many national leaders who have long term association with Babu who was instrumental in leading national political fronts. Now, Lokesh can make good contacts at Delhi and strike a bond with the national leaders. Leaders like Mamta Banerjee have openly found fault with the manner in which Naidu was arrested. Several other national leaders also voiced their opinions against CBN’s arrest. Now, the onus lies on Lokesh to convert this sympathy into opportunity.

The other day, Pawan Kalyan publicly announced the TDP – Janasena alliance in the coming state elections. During this, Pawan also expressed his belief that BJP would join their alliance. Amidst this, Lokesh’s Delhi visit garnered a huge significance politically. If Lokesh will make a positive impact and turn the tables, it is going to be a big advantage for the TDP and also its chief Chandrababu Naidu. If Lokesh will make an impact on BJP’s central leadership, this may be a good sign for the TDP – Janasena alliance in AP. Now, all eyes are on Lokesh’s Delhi visit. TDP leaders are keeping their fingers crossed.
