Protests against the ‘illegal arrest’ of TDP boss and former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu from various corners are increasing in numbers from both the Telugu states.
After Xenex car care, the management of Little Village highway restaurant at Suryapet on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada route has declared to offer 50% discount on the bill made by all those travelling to participate in the ‘Chalo Rajahmundry’ to express their solidarity with Naidu.
The management of Little Village has also added to the chorus of “Memu Saitam” with Naidu. Further, the management has also readied parcels for those ordering online beforehand for the food, including the discount.
After techies, NRIs, car care showroom owners, there is support to Naidu pouring in from the restaurant managements too. This speaks about the huge number of TDP sympathisers across both the Telugu states, said a TDP leader belonging to Andhra Pradesh.
With people from various sections of the society expressing their support to the TDP boss, the YCP leadership could be feeling anxious over the prospects in the 2024 Assembly elections, pointed out a TDP activist.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is proudly claiming that he has the support of all the beneficiaries of the various welfare schemes (Navaratnalu) introduced by the YCP government. Similarly, the TDP can also boast of the support of the beneficiaries of various development programmes initiated under the TDP regime, say political observers.
Hence, the electorate will witness a fight between development and welfare programmes initiated by the TDP and YCP regimes during the 2024 Assembly elections.
