Lokesh’s Anticipatory Bail Petition Disposed Off

Published by

The CID sleuths named TDP scion and party national general secretary Nara Lokesh as A14 in the Amaravati Inner Ring Road alignment case. Lokesh moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking anticipatory bail in connection with the case.

This morning, the court disposed off the bail plea petition after Advocate General Sriram Subrahmanyam said that notices would be served to Lokesh under CrPC 41A, which does not include arrest. He also told the court that changes had been made in the FIR to this effect.

Further, he told the court that they would bring it to the notice of the court, if Lokesh does not cooperate with the investigating agency. In case, Lokesh does not cooperate with the sleuths for the probe, then they would inform the court about it and then only arrest Lokesh.

Lokesh was named A14 in the Amaravati IRR alignment case and filed memo in the court on the same, a couple of days ago.

Following this, Lokesh’s counsels filed petition seeking anticipatory bail.
