In a recent development, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has served notices to Nara Lokesh. He has been named as an A14 accused in the Inner Ring Road case.
Under CrPC 41(A), authorities have formally served notices to Lokesh, instructing him to appear at the Vijayawada CID office on October 4 at 10 am. A CID team met Lokesh in Delhi to deliver these notices.
The CID has initiated an investigation into alleged changes in the design of the inner ring road, suspecting that the road’s design may have been manipulated during the TDP regime to inflate land prices in certain areas. Nara Lokesh, who served as a minister during that time, has been implicated as an accused in this investigation.
Currently residing in Delhi for the past two weeks, Lokesh has been formally notified as part of the ongoing inquiry. Further updates on this case are awaited as the investigation progresses.
