Former MLA and current BJP vice president of Andhra Pradesh, P. Vishnu Kumar Raju is very confident about entering the assembly from the north constituency of Vishakapatnam after the next elections. In his recent media interaction, Vishnu Kumar asserted that it will be a cakewalk for him to win the 2024 assembly elections even if Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy contests from this constituency.
Reacting to the arrest of former CM and TDP supremo Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, Vishnu Kumar said that the YSRCP government is resorting to vindictive politics just to stifle the voice of the opposition. He added that the ruling party is filing cases against those who are pointing out the inefficiencies of the government and its policies.
Expressing surprise over Jagan’s recent statements that he is unaware of CBN’s arrest, Vishnu Kumar said all this is nothing but political vendetta. He also recalled his past statements about demanding a CBI probe into the liquor policy in the State. He added that many are losing lives due to the sale of spurious liquor in our state.
Vishnu Kumar flayed at the government for introducing the volunteer system and demanded to abolish it forthwith immediately after the next elections. He also stated that the saffron party has no agenda behind the arrest of CBN.
It may be noted that Vishnu Kumar Raju won with a majority of 18,000 votes in the 2014 assembly elections from the north consistency of Vizag. However, he faced an embarrassing defeat in the 2019 elections.
