#IRR: Chandrababu Gets Bail Extension Until Nov

Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, also the TDP chief, has received a temporary reprieve in the Amaravati Inner Ring Road case filed against him by the Andhra Pradesh government. The High Court has issued fresh orders, ensuring Chandrababu is not subject to arrest until November 7th next month. Initially, the High Court had granted a no-arrest directive until October 18th after hearing the case a few years ago.

Following the expiration of the earlier directive, Chandrababu’s legal representatives filed a petition on his behalf. The High Court recently revisited the matter and determined that Chandrababu cannot be arrested until November 7th, extending the previous interim bail order. During the hearing, Chandrababu’s legal team argued that there were no irregularities in the case.

However, the High Court decided not to comment further until the case reaches a conclusion. This led to the extension of Chandrababu’s bail. Moreover, the government’s legal representatives reiterated in court that the alignment of the Inner Ring Road had been altered in their favor with malicious intent, and an investigation into these allegations is ongoing.
