Former MLA from Vijayawada and notable leader of the Kapu community, Vangaveeti Radha tied the nuptial knot with Jakkam Pushpavalli, who hails from Narasapuram on Sunday night. The marriage ceremony was held in a grand manner and it was attended by many prominent political bigwigs and close family members of the Vangaveeti family.
The biggest attraction for this marriage is actor and Janasena party chief Pawan Kalyan who graced the event and blessed the new couple. Pawan attended the ceremony late in the night on Sunday and extended wishes to Radha. YSRCP leaders Kodali Nani and Vallabaneni Vamshi also turned up for the marriage. Pawan’s presence at this event assumes significance because there have been rumours that Radha is planning to join Janasena.
Radha got engaged to Pushpavalli last month in Narasapuram. The news regarding his marriage came as a big surprise to his followers. Radha has been active in politics for the last two decades, but he never took any significant role so far. After winning in the 2004 assembly elections, Radha didn’t contest from any party till date.
Radha has been with TDP for the last four years. While there were speculations that Radha might join another party, he extended support to Nara Lokesh’s Yuva Galam a couple of months ago.
There is strong talk that Radha is keen on contesting from the Vijaywada Central assembly in the 2024 elections. It remains to be seen if he continues with TDP or deflects to Janasena.
