All political parties are gearing up for the Telangana Assembly polls 2023 scheduled to be held on 30 November for 119 seats. BJP released its first list of 52 candidates earlier. BJP revoked the suspension on Raja Singh and he will be contesting from Goshamahal constituency. The second list of candidates was announced yesterday and to the surprise of everyone, there is just one name on the list.
The second list of candidates has just one name, Mithun Kumar Reddy. He will be contesting from the Mahbubnagar constituency. Mithun is the son of senior politician Jithender Reddy. Many Telangana BJP leaders were awaiting the second list of candidates, particularly for those controversial constituencies of Andol and Malkajgiri.
The BJP central committee confirming just one name in the second list has disappointed and irked the leaders waiting to see their names in it. BJP appears to have taken precautions after many expressed their dissatisfaction with the first list.
There is one final list which is expected to be out in a week. The nomination process for Telangana Assembly elections will start on November 7th.
