Putting an end to the rumours, the T-TDP is likely to contest the 2023 Assembly elections, though in a limited number of constituencies.
According to information, TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu has given nod to T-TDP president Kasani Gyaneshwar’s for contesting the Assembly polls in Telangana, during the Mulaqat with him at the Rajamahendravaram Central Jail.
Kasani, it is learnt, had told Chandrababu Naidu that the party was ready to contest for all the 119 constituencies.
Kasani would meet TDP scion Nara Lokesh tomorrow and then get clarity over the number of seats for which the TDP would field the party candidates.
Meanwhile, there was buzz that the BJP had been trying to kill two bird with one shot by asking the TDP to refrain from contesting the elections in Telangana.
At the same time, the BJP also wanted to ask Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan to campaign for the BJP in Telangana, specially in the areas where the Andhra settlers are living, to bag their votes.
It has to be seen how things would pan out in the coming days.
