Kamareddy Get Ready For KCR vs Revanth?

Is Kamareddy constituency in Telangana going to witness an intense competition? According to sources within the Congress party, the answer is a resounding yes. It is reported that PCC president Revanth Reddy is preparing to contest in Kamareddy, with the nomination set for the 10th. Revanth, who is already gearing up for the battle in Kodangal, is now considering Kamareddy as his second constituency. Party insiders claim that the Congress high command has given the green light for Revanth to enter the race.

Why would Revanth’s contesting in Kamareddy be significant for the entire state? The reason is that KCR is also set to contest from this constituency. It is known that KCR is planning to run in two constituencies, Gajvelu and Kamareddy. While the nomination has already been filed in Gajvelu, it is yet to be filed in Kamareddy. In the past, KCR has never contested in two constituencies. However, KCR is contesting in both areas to assert that BRS’s victory is certain and that his presence in two constituencies will not guarantee his success.

Ground reports indicate that there is public dissatisfaction with KCR. Families of individuals who lost their lives in Gulf countries and some tribal communities are particularly aggrieved with KCR. They feel that KCR has failed to fulfill promises made to them. Furthermore, those who have not benefited from various government schemes are also discontented. They believe that these schemes are being misapplied, benefiting the undeserving rather than the deserving.

The farmers of Kamareddy municipality are also seething with anger. They claim that their lands have been unilaterally taken away by municipal authorities in the name of a master plan. Despite their warnings, KCR did not heed their concerns. Many groups have various grievances against KCR, and if they unite to support Revanth, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him emerge victorious in Kamareddy.
