Industrialist Koneru Prasad Dies

Noted businessman and Vijayawada Parliament YSRCP contestant (2014) Koneru Rajendra Prasad has passed away. He was 73-year-old. He died of cardiac arrest in Hyderabad. He is survived by wife Vimala and three sons.

A first-generation entrepreneur, Koneru founded Trimex group, a trading firm in Dubai in 1985. His farther Madhusudhan Rao was a well-known doctor. He went to the Gulf where he emerged as a successful industrialist.

Koneru Prasad was co-accused in Emaar properties land scam. The cases are pending in the Hyderabad CBI court. In 2016, Rajendra Prasad had resigned to YSRCP. Since then he has been distant from direct politics. He was staying with his family in Chennai. His mortal remains are shifted to his Chennai residence. The final rites will be performed today evening in Chennai’s Besant Nagar crematorium.
