Vijay Sai Reddy’s caste remarks on BJP general secretary Purandeswari were even disagreed by a section of YSRCP leaders. YCP’s own leaders have asked the social media managers of Vijay Sai Reddy to be ‘less aggressive’.
Whereas strangely, there is no response from BJP’s state leadership. BJP state unit president Somu Veerraju, who usually raises his voice for every now and then, has been mum over Vijay Sai Reddy’s caste comments on Purandeswari. Neither he countered Sai Reddy nor he condemned his comments. Even the likes of Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Kanna Lakshminarayana have all kept mum.
While BJP’s national leaders have given a small warning to Vijay Sai Reddy, none of the state leaders responding to it indicate a clear division and lack of unity among BJP’s state leaders. It is no hiding that a section of BJP leaders are supporting the ruling party, another section of the party is supporting the Opposition TDP and a few are hobnobbing with Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena. This is creating a lot of confusion among people and creating a wrong impression on BJP.
Also, the contrast statements of party leaders on Amaravati as capital and decentralisation of capitals are adding to the confusion. It’s high time, BJP’s central leadership needs to pass strict directions to the state leaders.
