First time after receiving the regular bail in the Skill Development Scam case, Opposition leader and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu visited New Delhi. However, Naidu’s visit is said to be purely personal and apolitical. Sources in the know reveal that Chandrababu Naidu flew to Delhi to attend the wedding of his lawyer Siddharth Luthra’s son. Naidu gave his word and hence attended the wedding ceremony. Babu is accompanied by wife Nara Bhuvaneswari.
Whereas Chandrababu is unlikely to meet any of the political leaders. Babu’s Delhi trip is personal, avers the sources close to the development. After attending the wedding reception, Babu and Bhuvaneswari are going to return the same day. Siddharth Luthra, a senior advocate in the Supreme Court, has represented Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill Development Scam case.
Naidu was arrested on 9th September and he was produced to the ACB court in Vijayawada. After 53 days in judicial remand at the Rajahmundry Central Prison, Babu walked out on medical bail on 31st October. Later, the AP High Court on 20th November made Naidu’s bail absolute from the interim to regular.
