For the first time in its brief history, the Janasena Party contested in the Telangana assembly elections. The party contested in 8 assembly constituencies in the state, in alliance with BJP.
Pawan Kalyan extensively campaigned for his party candidates and also BJP contestants nearly a week before the election but to no avail.
Janasena is trailing in all 8/8 constituencies it has contested from. Its best performance is coming in Kukatpally, where the party is trailing in third place. In the other 7 places, the party is trailing in even lower positions.
Pawan Kalyan’s party is failing to have any impact on the electoral trends in Telangana, while their ally BJP is leading in a decent enough 9 constituencies.
With Congress taking a clear and decisive lead and crossing the magic figure, the ruling party, BRS is trailing in second position in most areas. In a disastrous result for Janasena, the party has become irrelevant in every constituency it has contested from.
