Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were taken in police custody in greater Noida. Rahul and Priyanka were on their way from Delhi to visit and console the Hathras victim’s family.
When Rahul and Priyanka’s convoy reached Yamuna express highway, police stopped them. When they started walking from there, the party leaders and workers started following them. It turned quickly into chaos when police tried to stop them. Rahul Gandhi turned furious on police and at one point he was pushed down to the ground.
Rahul Gandhi alleges the police did not just push him down but charged them all with lathis there. Rahul questions if common people can’t walk on the roads and if they do not have that right, except for PM Modi?
Rahul questioned how could police arrest him when he did not break the law. Priyanka Gandhi expressed her anger and said the women in UP are not safe. Later they both were released.
