KCR to undergo hip replacement surgery

Former Chief Minister of Telangana and BRS Chief K. Chandra Sekhar Rao suffered a hip fracture due to a fall in his farmhouse at midnight this morning. He was immediately rushed to Yashoda hospital in Hyderabad for treatment.

As per the latest reports, an expert team of doctors will perform hip replacement surgery on the ex-CM today evening. Dr. Kalvakuntla Sanjay, Korutla MLA of the BRS party and an orthopedic doctor at Yashoda Hospital, will oversee the surgery. KCR’s condition is now stable as per an official report from the hospital. Due to his old age, doctors initially performed some tests to take a call on surgery.

Meanwhile, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy directed the Secretary, HM&FW department to monitor the treatment of the former Chief Minister. The Secretary visited the hospital in the morning and enquired about the condition of the ex-CM. The officer has reportedly briefed the CM about the condition and facilities that are being provided to him.

It may be noted that the police department provided a green channel for the movement of the former CM from his farmhouse to hospital in the early hours of today.
