Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is kicking off a new era in Telangana politics taking first step towards delivering transparent governance.
On the first day after assuming office, Revanth Reddy’s Cabinet held a review meeting on the power situation during which he made it clear that he would not accept the resignation of power department CMD Prabhakar Rao, who put in his papers recently, sensing a change in the government.
Revanth said that the resignation would be accepted only after Prabhakar Rao submits all the details about the income and expenditure of the department.
Revanth’s response over Prabhakar Rao’s resignation came following the power department secretary’s revelation that there was a debt of Rs 85,000 crore on the wing. He asked the officials to ensure that Prabhakar Rao came to the next meeting with all the files relating to the power department’s revenues.
It has to be seen to which extent the Chief Minister would go to ensure justice to the public.
