Gajuwaka MLA’s Son Quits YCP

Gajuwaka was one of the most exciting constituencies in 2019 election for the reason that JSP boss Pawan Kalyan was contesting from here. But Pawan faced a big disappointment as YSRC candidate Tippala Nagi Reddy won from here.

Just as things looked smooth for YCP and the Tippala family in Gajuwaka constituency ahead of the 2024 election, there is a major jerk. Nagi Reddy’s son, Devan Reddy has quit YSRCP and has moved away.

Devan Reddy was working as YCP in-charge for the Gajuwaka constituency before deciding to leave the party. He announced his departure from Jagan’s party today. He didn’t cite the exact reason for the resignation but it can be understood that he is displeased with the party high command local leadership.

Coincidentally, Devan’s resignation comes just a couple of hours after the resignation of YCP Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy.

Tippala Nagi Reddy is one of the senior leaders in YCP and he should obviously be aware of his son’s departure from YCP just ahead of the AP election. Losing sitting MLAs and important leaders before the election doesn’t look good for YCP as the party heads for all-important polls in just 3 months.
