Telangana CM Puts Airport Metro Alignment On Hold

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has put the Airport Metro line alignment from Raidurg to Shamshabad plan on hold. The CM of Telangana also put the tender on hold and directed the Hyderabad Metro Rai officials to prepare alternative alignments from MGBS to Falaknuma and from LB Nagar via Chandrayangutta.

CM Revanth Reddy directed the HMR managing director to prepare alternatives via Mailardevpally, Jalpally, and P7 Road; or via Barkas-Pahadi Shareed and Srirailam Road.

Revanth Reddy wants the officials to plan for an environmentally friendly mega township in lands acquired for Pharma City near Kandukur. He further directed them to connect the Metro Rail from the airport to the new city via Tukkuguda on Srisailam Road.

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy also expressed his displeasure over the incomplete stretch of 5.5 km in the Old City. Revanth Reddy emphasized the need for Airport Metro Rail alignment connecting Old City from MGBS-Falaknuma and from LB Nagar area instead of going along ORR through the G.O.111 area where there is a good transport facility in the form of ORR.
