MLC Sheikh Sabji tragically lost his life in a fatal road accident in Cherukuwada Mandal, West Godavari district. The incident occurred when the car he was traveling in collided head-on with another vehicle on the Cherukuwada National Highway in Undi Mandal.
Sheikh Sabji, representing the Teachers constituencies, succumbed to the impact of the collision on the spot. The accident unfolded as he was returning from participating in a protest supporting the Anganwadi workers’ strike, traveling from Eluru to Bhimavaram.
The collision resulted in serious injuries to the MLC’s car driver, gunman, and personal assistant, who were promptly rushed to the hospital. The police initiated an investigation upon reaching the scene of the accident. It was noted that Sheikh Sabji was not wearing a seat belt during the incident, contributing to severe injuries to his chest and head, ultimately leading to his untimely demise.
The MLC’s body was transported to the hospital as authorities worked to piece together the details surrounding the tragic incident. The community mourns the loss of MLC Sheikh Sabji, reflecting on the circumstances of the accident and the importance of road safety measures.
