Etala, Chikoti, Vijayasanthi MP Candidates?

Assembly elections have just concluded and even before the dust has settled, political parties have set sail for another war, the general elections round the corner.

Parties in Telangana are already completely immersed in picking the winning horses and there is a great demand for the BJP seats.

Etala Rajendar who contested as an MLA but faced defeat in an unexpected manner is readying to contest for the Malkajgiri MP seat. But, the buzz indicates that there are many other contenders – BJP Madhya Pradesh in-charge Muralidhar Rao, Perala Chandrasekhar, Veerender Goud, Samaranga Reddy, Ramachander Rao, Akula Rajender, Malla Reddy and others, eyeing the same post.

Casino King Chikoti Praveen is also learnt to have already begun lobbying for the Zaheerabad MP seat. Former MP Baga Reddy’s son Jaipal Reddy, Ale Bhaskar and others are also in the race for this seat. Considering the caste equations, there are chances for Etala Rajender also to be fielded from this constituency.

Coming to the Congress, Vijayasanthi is likely to be fielded from Medak again, as the party believes that she will be able to repeat the feat she had done during the last elections.

At the same time, the Congress has formed the government following victory in the recently concluded Assembly elections. Simultaneously, the party is carving out strategies to win the maximum number of MP seats in the upcoming general elections.

The BRS, which had lost the elections, is busy analyzing the reasons behind the defeat.

Meanwhile, the BJP is hoping to secure more seats than it had done earlier in Telangana, as it would help in retaining power for a third time consecutively.
